About Angela Ackerman:

Angela Ackerman is a professional artist/educator and has been teaching art to both children and adults since 1995 in some of the state's most esteemed cultural institutions: including Danforth Art, DeCordova Sculpture Garden, RISD, and the Worcester Art Museum. She attended Rhode Island School of Design and has a BFA in illustration and a Masters in Education/Studio Art from Framingham State University. Prior to teaching, Angela designed greeting cards, giftwrap, magazines, and children’s books. She exhibited her work at the NY Stationery Show/Surtex Show and licensed her designs for 2D and 3D products, including: mugs, teapots, giftware, and baby bedding. Angela’s illustration clients include: Hallmark, William Arthur, Random House, The Washington Post, Family Therapy Networker, and TJ Maxx.

Currently, Angela is most passionate about the process of making art itself and finding joy in the creative process. She enjoys teaching Drawing, Watercolor, and Botanicals. Whether in teaching or in her own art, she challenges herself to reinvent her process constantly, understanding that there is no limit to creativity as long as you always stay curious and eager to learn.
