The New Menopause: An Expert-Guided Book Discussion

A conversation about what every woman should know about perimenopause, menopause & healthy aging

Menopause care is changing, and women have more information, choices, and treatment options than ever before.

Join us for an interactive, expert-guided discussion inspired by Dr. Mary Claire Haver’s bestselling book, The New Menopause: Navigating Your Path Through Hormonal Change with Purpose, Power, and Facts.

Rather than a traditional book club, this evening will use the book as a springboard for a broader conversation about what women need to know as they move through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

We’ll unpack some of the book’s biggest themes, including changing hormones and symptoms, menopause hormone therapy, vaginal and sexual health, and the steps women can take to protect their health as they age.

We’ll discuss:
  • What the latest menopause science means for women today
  • Common - and often overlooked - symptoms of the menopause transition
  • What women should understand about menopause hormone therapy
  • Genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), vaginal estrogen, urinary health, and sexual wellbeing
  • Bone, cardiovascular, metabolic, and brain health after menopause
  • How to have more informed conversations with your healthcare provider
Our expert guest will help put the book’s recommendations into clinical context, answer questions, and separate what’s well established from areas where menopause medicine continues to evolve.

Your Ticket Includes the Book

Every attendee will receive a copy of Dr. Mary Claire Haver’s The New Menopause as part of their registration.

There’s no required reading before the event. Whether you’re already familiar with the book or discovering it for the first time, our expert-guided discussion will highlight key ideas, put them into context, and help you identify the information most relevant to your own midlife health.

You’ll leave with your own copy to continue reading, reflecting, and learning after the event.

Come for the information. Stay for the conversation, connection, and opportunity to learn alongside other women navigating midlife.

*Class Registration, Cancellation & Refund Policy

To provide the best experience while keeping our programs sustainable, most classes require a minimum number of participants. Maxima Hive reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class if the minimum enrollment is not met.

If We Cancel a Class

If Maxima Hive cancels a class, registered participants may choose one of the following:

  • A full refund of the original method of payment.
  • Store credit for the full registration amount, which may be used toward any purchase at Maxima Gift Center, Maxima Book Center, or any future Maxima Hive class or event.

We encourage participants to choose store credit whenever possible, as credit card processing fees are incurred when payments are processed and again when refunds are issued. Selecting store credit helps us reduce these costs and continue offering quality community programming.

Participant Cancellations

If you cancel your registration before the class or event, an 8% cancellation/restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. This fee helps offset the non-refundable credit card processing and administrative costs associated with your registration.

Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive 100% of your registration fee as store credit, with no cancellation fee deducted. Store credit may be used toward merchandise at Maxima Gift Center or Maxima Book Center, or toward any future Maxima Hive class or event.

Class Rescheduling

If a class is rescheduled, your registration will automatically be transferred to the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, you may choose either a full refund or store credit.

Thank you for supporting local, small-business programming. Your understanding allows us to continue offering meaningful classes, workshops, and events for our community.
